Your mission
Are you passionate about advancing the field of photonics and quantum applications? We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Photonics Engineer for PIC testing and packaging to join our dynamic team. 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

As a Photonics Engineer for PIC testing and packaging, your main tasks will include: 

  • Perform testing and characterization of photonic integrated circuits, including measuring insertion loss, return loss, and polarization dependence. 
  • Develop, document, and maintain standard operating procedures for photonic testing. 
  • Design and implement automated test setups to improve testing efficiency and accuracy.  
  • Analyze test data and generate detailed reports on device performance. 
  • Collaborate with design and process engineering teams to provide feedback on device performance and testing results. 
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with testing setups and photonic devices. 
  • Manage and maintain photonic packaging processes, including die attach, wire bonding, and encapsulation. 
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in photonic testing and packaging. 
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in photonic testing technologies and methodologies.

Your profile
To excel in this role, we are seeking candidates with the following qualifications and skills: 
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Physics, Photonics, or a related field. 
  • Master's degree or PhD in a relevant discipline is a plus.
  • Proven experience in photonic integrated circuits (PIC) testing and evaluation. 
  • Hands-on experience with optical testing equipment such as optical spectrum analyzers, tunable lasers, power meters, and high-speed photodetectors. 
  • Experience in photonic packaging processes and techniques is a plus.  
  • Familiarity with cleanroom environments and semiconductor processing.
  • Proven experience in photonic integrated circuits (PIC) testing and evaluation. 
  • Hands-on experience with optical testing equipment such as optical spectrum analyzers, tunable lasers, power meters, and high-speed photodetectors. 
  • Experience in photonic packaging processes and techniques is a plus.
