Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Team Lead for Nanofabrication to join our deep-tech startup. This is a unique opportunity for an individual with a strong technical background in nanofabrication who is also passionate about leadership and hands-on work in a cleanroom environment.
The ideal candidate will be a key player in our team, responsible for both managing the nanofabrication process and leading a small, high-performing team. You will drive the development and optimization of our fabrication processes, ensuring the highest quality standards for our cutting-edge products.


Responsibilities
  • Hands-On Cleanroom Work: Take an active role in the cleanroom, performing and supervising a wide range of nanofabrication processes.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and guide a small team of engineers and technicians. Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Process Development & Optimization: Drive the development of new fabrication processes and continuously optimize existing ones to improve yield, efficiency, and performance.
  • Project Management: Plan and manage fabrication projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
  • Cross-Facility Collaboration: Plan and Manage the process transfer to more professional cleanrooms in near future
  • Quality Control: Implement and maintain strict quality control standards for all fabrication processes and products.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the R&D, engineering, and product teams to translate technical requirements into scalable manufacturing processes.

 
Your profile
Ideally, you bring the following with you:  
  • Education: Masters or PhD in a relevant field such as Physics, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related discipline.
  • Experience:
    • Proven experience in a cleanroom environment with hands-on experience in nanofabrication techniques (e.g., lithography, etching, deposition).
    • Demonstrated capabilities in people management and team leadership.
    • Experience with process development and optimization.
  • Skills:
    • Deep technical understanding of semiconductor or nanophotonics fabrication processes.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment.
    • Strong English skills
